About the Indonesia Project

I am a British songwriter from London, who was previously living in central Jakarta. I am currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which has a whole new dynamic but I've yet to tackle the language. 😉

The Indonesia Project was an attempt to work with local artists while living in Jakarta, focussing on styles popular with local singers and artists. I don’t really speak Indonesian, but I managed to write some songs in Indonesian. I am still open to collaborating with Indonesian vocalists to complete these tracks. I, songwriter, Lee Laurent, primarily used modern electronic textures with acoustic elements added where appropriate.
